Luke, who was a physician, was something of a prophet, too. At least you could make the case that the way he wrote his gospel account, and the Book of the Acts, had a way of emphasizing the prophetic nature of Christ's coming and His ongoing work. In this podcast teaching, we focused on the scene in the Nazareth synagogue where Jesus read from Isaiah the Prophet. But we also took some time to look both backwards at Luke's account of the Song of Mary, and also forwards at his account of the early life of the church as written in Acts.
