Let's Talk About Leprosy

The designation "leprosy" in Scripture can refer to a host of skin conditions, or even to "mold" in some places in the Old Testament. But the leprosy that Naaman had, in today's Old Testament story, and also the man in the New Testament passage, was surely of the kind that caused great fear and ostricism. Two things to look for: The great and powerful commander Naaman was brought low by his leprosy; and in some ways, Jesus exchanged places with the man he healed.
