Why Two Weeks for Christmas??

Teacher: Pastor Chris Alford
Series: Sunday Teaching
Passage: Matthew 2:1-12; John 1:1-5;14
Service Type: Christmastide

Why should we spend two weeks celebrating Christmas? Our society starts the Christmas rush just after Halloween, and many churches "do" Christmas all the month of December. But once the 25th is over, most everyone has moved on.

But if you follow the Christian Year, the season of Christmastide is a celebration that lasts from December 25 to January 6. Why in the world would we do that? Join Pastor Chris for a look at what Christians might miss if they speed past Christmas, and what we might learn from the Wise Men.

Topics: Christmas, Christmastide, Frankincense, Jesus, Myrrh, Queen of Sheba, Solomon, wisdom, Wise Men, worship
