Advent Waiting: Prayer & Scripture Meditation

Come one and come all… Join Christy Fickenscher in prayer & Scripture meditation each week this Advent Season.
You are invited to turn aside for a peaceful and quiet gathering with plenty of time to “Be still and know that He is God” (Psalm 46:10). Through art, poetry, prayer, and Scripture meditation using Lectio Divina (an ancient way of contemplating Scripture), come find a clear space to be present to what God is inviting you to this Season of Advent.
Our gathering place will be the Chapter House (7985 Park Drive, Fair Oaks). Most of our sessions will be on Wednesday nights, but our last meeting will be on a Sunday (Dec 21, the fourth Sunday of Advent).
Week 1: Be Still: Wednesday, Dec 3, 6:30-8 PM, Chapter House.
Week 2: Wait: Wednesday, Dec 10, 6:30-8 PM, Chapter House.
Week 3: Listen: Wednesday, Dec 17, 6:30-8 PM, Chapter House.
Week 4: Option: Trust: Sunday, Dec 21, 6:30-8 PM, Chapter House.
