The multiple Academy Award-winning film “A Man for All Seasons” starring Paul Scofield\, Vanessa Redgrave\, Orson Welles\, and John Hurt (120 minutes\, rated G). \nThis sumptuous historical costume drama from 1966 focuses on the true story of Sir Thomas More who stood up to King Henry VIII when the monarch rejected the Roman Catholic Church in order to obtain a divorce and remarry. More’s clashes with the monarch increased in intensity. A devout Catholic and the King’s Lord Chancellor\, More stood by his religious principles and tooks measures to leave the royal court. Unfortunately\, the King and his loyalists weren’t appeased and pressed forward with charges of treason\, further testing More’s resolve and bringing about one of the greatest moral showdowns in history. \nIt’s an inspirational story of moral resolve\, family\, devotion to country\, and religious principle. \nWill you bring a snack? You’ll have to get really creative on this one. The English are not especially known for their tasty food.

DESCRIPTION:Our Epiclesis Women’s Gathering occurs every other month… \nWe come together for a time of fellowship\, including a small brunch. But we especially want this to be a time to share our hearts on how we see God moving in our lives and where we see Him directing us\, both individually and as part of the body of Epiclesis. It’s also a time to encourage one another and share how we can pray for one another. \nOur regular gathering time and place is the second Saturday of the month\, from 10 AM to 12 noon\, at the Chapter House.
