Epiphany Study: The Season of Light, which began with Advent, and continues with Christmastide, will culminate with Epiphany. The Sundays in Epiphany this year begin on January 12 and continue through February 23.
Epiphany is the time in the Christian Year when we focus on the life and ministry of Jesus, starting with His baptism and ending with His transfiguration. We also ponder the truth that He came not only for the Jews but for the Gentiles.
This year, we also want to focus on the many ways in which He was a servant. In fact, He was the Ultimate Servant.
As Epiclesis prepares for instituting deacon servants in the church in the coming year, we want to look carefully at what Scripture says about deacons, and then most of all at the person and work of Jesus as our ultimate guide.
Be on the lookout for this teaching series during Epiphany, 2020, starting January 12.
