SUMMARY:Chapter House: Life & Wholeness Soul Care Ministries
DESCRIPTION:At the Epiclesis Chapter House by Appointment… \nA ministry of Christy Shirley Fickenscher\, MA\, Life & Wholeness Soul Care has a mission to promote\, encourage\, and facilitate mature relationships for the purpose of building up the Body of Christ. With a background in Marriage and Therapy Therapy\, she has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and practiced professionally for many years. She is retired and is no longer practicing as an LMFT. \nHer ministry now centers on spiritual well-being as central to wholeness. She has been trained in the ministry of reconciliation (prayer ministry) through Imago Dei ministries out of Portland\, Oregon. Prayer ministry is led by a desire to see the light of Christ come into the dark places within hurting individuals. Prayer ministry is both an art and the application of various tools for the unlocking the God-given potential within each person. Soul care sees all of life connected with the desire to live an undivided life as David prayed\, “Lord\, give me an undivided life that I might praise your name” (Psalm 86:11). \nAbout Integrative Prayer Counseling: Our time together will center around what it is that you bring to the session and learning to listen to where the Lord is drawing you and speaking to you. Through the integrative prayer process\, we learn to hear God’s perspective on the areas of our lives in which we struggle. The approach is to also listen to you as a whole person and take into consideration mind\, soul\, spirit\, and body. \nAppointments: Counselling sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays at the Chapter House are by appointment only. Contact Christy.

SUMMARY:Reading Group: The Screwtape Letters
DESCRIPTION:Whether you’ve never read it\, or have done so many times\, we’re going to explore it again together. It’s an all-time Christian classic by one of the greatest\, C.S. Lewis. \n“The Screwtape Letters is a satirical novel\, presented as a series of 31 short letters from the demon Screwtape to his demon nephew Wormwood\, offering darkly humorous advice on how to corrupt a human soul and lead it to damnation. Through Screwtape’s evil tactics\, Lewis explores themes of temptation\, free will\, and the spiritual battle between good and evil. “ \nWe’re planning on three Monday nights/sessions: February 23\, March 2\, 9\, 16\, and 23. Each gathering will be at the Chapter House beginning at 7 PM. \nFirst assignment before March 23: All the way to the end! \n
