Fall Retreat with Author Rod Dreher

January 17, 2021

Mark your calendars for October 29-30, 2021; Christ the King Retreat Center…

Save the date, friends: Epiclesis is proud to announce a fall retreat with Rod Dreher.

Author of The Benedict Option: A Strategy for Christians in a Post-Christian Nation, and Live Not by Lies: A Manual for Christian Dissidents, Rod Dreher will be on hand for a special two-day mini retreat to give us insights on how Christians should live in a post-Christian nation.

More to come, but mark the dates in your calendars now for this very important, even critical, gathering of God’s people.

Pastor Chris writes, “We’re so very pleased to share this terrific news with you. Dreher’s book, The Benedict Option, has had a big impact on my ministry in this last year. And, speaking of this last year, I am ever more convinced that Rod’s prophetic work is an essential guide for how Christians must move forward in times like these. In my view, the book is the most important Christian resource of our time.”

We’ll have more information for you in the days to come, including how to make your reservations, but save the dates for now. And help us spread the word: This remarkable retreat is open to the entire Sacramento-area Christian community.

Rod Dreher is a senior editor at The American Conservative. He has written and edited for the New York Post, The Dallas Morning News, National Review, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Washington Times, and the Baton Rouge Advocate. Rod’s commentary has been published in The Wall Street Journal, Commentary, the Weekly Standard, Beliefnet, and Real Simple, among other publications, and he has appeared on NPR, ABC News, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and the BBC. He lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with his wife Julie and their three children. He has also written five books, The Little Way of Ruthie Leming, Crunchy Cons, How Dante Can Save Your Life, The Benedict Option, and Live Not By Lies.
