Check out a brand new discipleship series on Sunday mornings at Epiclesis! Called “Sunday Morning Compass,” look for short series of different topics designed to help give disciples some direction in an upside down world.
We meet at our Carmichael location (our regular Sunday morning spot) in a room just down the hall from the chapel. There will be plenty of signs to direct you there.
The start time is 9 AM, but arrive starting at 8:45 for some coffee and a bite to eat!
Coming to the Sunday Morning Compass in June…
Jay Dudley is set to lead a three-week series titled “Encounter with The Qur’an.”
Islam is not coming— it’s here. Several mosques exist in our metro area, and if you have Muslim friends, neighbors, or even family, knowing is better than assuming with regard to what they believe. This Compass class will introduce you to a single Muslim tenet: “The Qur’an corrects and completes the Bible.” The class will test that claim by examining two parallel texts in the Qur’an and the Bible, one in the Old Testament and one in the New:
Week 1: The Story of Cain and Abel
Week 2: The Birth of Isa (the Muslim Jesus)
Week 3: (a bonus session) “What Islam and Mormonism Have in Common.”
Each session is “stand alone,” but each will astonish you and build your faith! The dates are: June 2, 9, and 16. Join us!
